Reflection & Inspiration

When I was 7, I acted in a play and one of my characters was from a Russian folk tale named, "Fire Bird" (sounds much cooler in Russian x). The patterns I used, after thinking hard about what subconsciously made me make this pattern, were very similar to this bird. The colours and the white strokes of paint on top of the yellow look like the head of the firebird. Of course, the actual idea for the shirt to resemble fire and smoke came from the first day of design when we research our State Park of Araguaia. This park is notoriously known for its extremely dry and wet seasons. The dry season results in forest fires. I want this shirt to bring awareness to the climate issues of Araguaia State Park. It is made out of paint and plastic bags. The handles of the bags became the side pieces. It is wearable and adjustable. The word on the front is an anagram for "FLAMES".
